The Tru Dream powder packs are a smart and surprisingly tasty way to wind down at night. The mixed berry flavor is more mellow than cloying, which helps make it feel like a relaxing treat rather than a chore. It dissolves quickly in warm water with little effort and the result is a slightly sweet drink. In cold water, it does have some issues. Otherwise, it’s a great alternative to sugary nighttime teas or bulky sleep drinks, especially when traveling.As for the effects, it won’t knock you out cold, but it does help ease into sleep more gently. The chamomile gives it a calming edge, and while the magnesium content is low and not the most sleep-effective form, it still feels like it contributes something. A few downsides: the packets can be hard to open without scissors, and the carb count is a little high if you’re watching that. But for a convenient, better-tasting way to help settle in before bed, it’s a solid option.
